Since there are several podcasting and social media conferences that are coming before the end of this year, I would like to share more tips that I read from Paul Colligan and his readers who came out with great round of tips for attending New Media Expo and similar conferences.
I also written something about this topic last year which focused on the gadgets or things such as voice recorder and PDA that one should have to maximize his or her learning experience during conferences. Now, I would like to share more about being comfortable during the social media conferences aside from wearing comfy but smart attire.
The first nice thing to do is to be there at the site earlier than usual because this will give you ample time to go around the exhibit hall and be familiar in the place.
Being early also allows you to meet and see new people, products or services that might interest you in some ways. You can even have a chance to chat with the exhibitors or speakers if you arrive in the place early and of course, reserve a nice seating position whenever possible.
When attending conferences, the best beverage that you should bring along with you is bottled water as this can surely quench your thirst and keep you well-hydrated all day. For snacks and lunch, refrain from eating food with strong garlic flavor that can affect your breath. Remember to eat light to avoid stomach ache, bloatedness and the likes.
